The controlled wide-open structure provides generous cutting clearance between the SSG teeth, allowing them to easily penetrate and cut off small cool chips of rubber without loading. SSG teeth are also manufactured so that the teeth operate at a uniform cutting radius, resulting in a rubber surface that is minutely roughened and free of coarse grooves, ridges, or closing cuts.
