Kutzall Coatings
Kutzall tools are divided into three product groups, each featuring a unique type of coating. The Kutzall coatings consist of hundreds of extremely sharp carbide teeth that quickly remove stock with ease and last 7 to 10 times longer than conventional steel burrs. They are not prone to loading but may easily be cleaned with solvent or burned clean with a gas torch; the heat won't harm the teeth.
Kutzall Original
The Kutzall Original line consists of the most popular Kutzall coating. This coating cuts with randomly-positioned teeth working simultaneously to help remove material rapidly. These tools create a smooth cutting action and are very easy to control which makes them ideal for hand-held operations. They create very little heat, and leave a smooth surface ready for final finish.
Kutzall Extreme™
The Kutzall Extreme line features a more open, free-cutting coating. This coating is exceptionally resistant to loading, even on very soft materials. These tools perform with a highly aggresive cutting action, perfect for the carver looking to remove a lot of stock with minimal effort.
Kutzall Grit
Kutzall Grit tools use a very rugged coating comprised of hard, randomly configured, sharp-edged ‘grits’. The Grit coating is remarkably impact-resistant with an outstanding wear life. These tools work well on wood, but they are most popular for more punishing applications. They are excellent for grinding fiberglass and similar composites, working on soft tile and masonry or carving soft stone.
