Most Kutzall tools feature "SSG Carbide Teeth." These extremely sharp, long-wearing conical teeth provide superior stock-removal and will not "load" on most materials. They remove work-piece material with a very smooth cutting action, making them very easy to control. SSG teeth are superior for all types of wood and other relatively soft materials such as rubber. These aggressive “SSG teeth” have an open structure, with areas of cuttings-clearance around each tooth. This open structure allows the teeth to cut into the stock with a free milling action and remove it easily.
